About the designer..

For starters, my name is Val, and i am 30 years old. I am currently in Pennsylvania, US.

I have been making websites since about 1998. Everything i know, i taught myself (with the help of a few friends, who without them, i may have never disovered this part of the internet).

I've come a long way since then, but I admit it... I love frontpage 98 and still use it to this day, along with Microsoft Image Composer. I am confident in my HTML skill and have worked with Dreamweaver as well.

I do NOT deal with flash/macromedia. This is a personal choice. I have played with it a bit, but honestly - i can't stand to wait around for websites to load. And although flash can look pretty amazing, i think I can make some pretty amazing layouts that can be just as good.

I consider myself more of a manipulator of images, for no other reason than I am not very good at drawing on the computer (aside from some simple pixel creations). My left hand just does not grasp the concept of a mouse.

So, you ask, what do you do then? Simple. Wether i'm taking my own photographs, or any image off of the internet, I attempt to transform my ideas into a layout that you normally do not see on the internet. So many sites are plain old blogs, or just simple and made of nothing but tables. I think websites should have character. Why have a boring space when you can have a piece of you put into it? And the great thing with websites is you can change them to suit whatever you want.

The main thing i take pride in, is my designs. Doesn't matter who they are for. As long as my name is being put on them, they will get 200% from me.
